Selling Via Teleconferencing
Ideally every sales situation would be face to face but time and cost makes this impossible.
Many organisations are now turning to teleconferencing as a way to cost effectively present to multiple customers at once and / or allow specialist staff based remotely to attend customer meetings.
As with any customer facing meeting, everything must be easy for them and work first time, so practice everything.
If you have never been the leader of a conference call before, practice with colleagues.
Presenting over the phone can be harder than face to face so be ready to present with little or no feedback.
You will have no body language to help you assess who is interested, so in smaller meetings ask lots of questions. "Am I telling you what you need to hear?", "How do you think this will work in your environment?"
For larger meetings have a look at our notes on how to hold a successful teleseminar.
