Teleconference from a home phone

If you need a teleconference with more than 3 people/lines you will need a service like HotAir. Read more about HotAir's teleconference service.

If you only need a 3 way conference call (that's you and two other people), you may be able to do this using your home phone. If you need help with this please contact your telephone company.

Telstra 3 way calling / chat

1. To make a call while you are already on the phone
   
2. Press the FLASH / RECALL button
3. Wait for the dial tone,
4. Call the third person’s telephone number.
5. To join the lines together into a teleconference press the FLASH / RECALL button
6. Wait for dial tone
7. Press the 3 button

Setting up a Three Way teleconference with Optus

1. Establish a telephone call with the first person. You can call them or they can call you.
2. Press Three Way if using an Optus OneTouch phone, or Flash/Recall on any other touch-tone phone to put the first person on hold
3. Wait until you hear the dial tone
4. Dial the telephone number of the second person
5. Wait until you hear the second line ringing.
6. Press Three Way or Flash/Recall and talk to the first person (they will hear the ringing tone too).

You now have a 3 way conference call from a regular telephone.
