Analyse how you did
If you want you next session to be even more successful (you’ve read this far so I assume you do), this step is vital.
The object of this is to learn what worked and what didn’t.
How many people:
- Were invited
- How many said they would attend
- How many actually attended
- What time they:
- Joined – Most teleseminars will start late because 30% or more of attendees join late. This is a challenge because you need to keep everyone entertained while you wait.
- Left – If for instance people start leaving the moment you start asking for a commitment then you know that either you are asking in the wrong way or they were not yet sold on the idea. Giving people an incentive to stay to the end is typically the most effective way to ensure that everyone will hear all of your message.
- Log in to your service providers portal to download a report on your meeting. Compare the times that people left with the times of the sections of your meeting.

Listen to your recording as a participant would or get a friend/colleague to. Do you sound enthusiastic, are you using plain language have you avoided jargon annoying mannerisms like err and um?
After the meeting
Go to the myHotAir portal to analyse what time people joined and left. (if you don’t have the log in information, please email us).
Compare the times that you started the various sections of your presentation with when people left the meeting. The goal is of course to ensure that everyone stays to hear your call to action. If they are disconnecting before then you need to analyse why so that you can do it better next time.
Send follow up information to the attendees to capitalise on the relationship you just built with them. There is typically a signup now and receive this extra thing free.
